2nd Women of Color Student Conference

Inspiring keynote speaker, workshops, networking, & comedy!
The 2nd Women of Color Student Conference entitled "Loving Each Other Harder: Womyn of Color, Community and the Intersections of Our Identities," will be held on March 29, 2014 at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
 
Keynote speakerWazina Zondon, a social justice educator, writer and performer, is featured in the 2013 HBO documentary, "The Out List."  An Afghan, working-class queer, Wazina is committed to and inspired by self-determination and the power of people around the globe.

Variety of workshops, including:
  • Women of Color in Media
  • Practicing Radical Self-Care and Healing from Trauma
  • Women of Color Poetic Expressions: Poetry as a tool for self-care & healing
A comedy sketch by Sherlonda Sharp http://www.rooftopcomedy.com/comics/SherlondaClarke, and prize drawings, close the conference.
