AHS 2300: Orientation to Clinical Research, Deadline Extended and International Opportunity

The application deadline has been extended for enrollment into AHS 2300: Orientation to Clinical Research for Fall 2013 thru Friday, April 12th. In addition to that, taking this course makes you eligible for an international clinical research experience in Denmark for Spring 2014!

Up to two students who participate in AHS 2300 in Fall 2013 will have an additional opportunity to participate in a Spring 2014 clinical research program through the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS) in Copenhagen, Denmark!  Students must initially apply to register for AHS 2300: Orientation to Clinical Research (for Fall 2013) and be accepted into the course to be considered for the spring clinical research option in Denmark in Spring 2014. Requirements to participate in the clinical research program in Denmark include: completion of AHS 2300 in the Fall 2013 semester. This international clinical research experience is best suited for students who have: at least one year of chemistry and biology coursework with labs; research and/or health volunteer experience; a sense of flexibility; and a strong interest in learning about international research. Students are responsible for tuition and fees associated with this study abroad experience. International UROP Scholarship funding is available (for eligible students) to fund the clinical research option through DIS.
