Major Mentors are students who have been identified by the Center for Academic Planning & Exploration (CAPE) as excellent peer mentors in one particular area of study, their major. Major Mentors work with undergraduate students from all U of M colleges who are exploring majors and want to learn more about a specific major from a peer. Major Mentors should be prepared to answer questions like:
Often times the mentee's will sit in on a class with their mentor to get a sense of what it's like to be in that major. Students also meet on campus for coffee, chat at a library, or just ask questions via email.
The Major Mentor Program is a great way to get involved on campus and make a difference!
