The Learning Abroad Center is hosting several information session to highlight the Global Seminars. Each Global Seminar is 3 credits, 3 weeks long, and throughout the world. You can find a schedule for the information sessions below. Students are welcome to attend one or more sessions!
One Global Seminar that might appeal to CBS students is Machu Picchu and the Amazon: Climate Change and the city of the Gods which will take place May 21 – June 14, 2014. Join this exciting, rigorous adventure to explore the Southeastern Peruvian Andes, learn about Inca civilizations, biodiversity assessment in the headwaters of the Amazon, and what it means to be World Heritage. You will visit Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas, as well as Machu Picchu and the buffer zone around Manu National Park. You will also see rare and unusual wildlife across five altitudinal zones, and visit remains of ancient civilizations. See: http://www.umabroad.umn.
