Native Plant Seed Collection and Propagation Experiment

There are student research positions open at the Biological Sciences Conservatory on the St. Paul campus. First, the lab will collect seed and plants from areas that will be under construction. They will transplant plants and collect seed from six endangered species. The next student will experiment with methods of propagation including warm and cold stratification techniques for both this vegetative and seed material. The research aims to propagate new populations of plants to transplant in disturbed areas in the future. Research will take place at the CBS Conservatory and the MN Landscape Arboretum. This opportunity will be available for the summer and the fall. They are looking for 4 researchers.
