The majestic Himalayas. Dense jungles. Elephants. These are just some of the things you will see in Nepal.  This 16-credit spring semester program is in the wildlife-rich, biodiverse Terai region, home to the Asiatic elephant, the Royal Bengal tiger, and one-horned rhino.  You will work closely with rural communities to measure and value the ecosystem of community managed forest ecosystems.  You'll also learn about sustainable development and conservation efforts.  This cross-cultural program will include coursework in socio-economic assessment, wildlife diversity, and Nepali language and culture.
