University of Minnesota Rochester Respiratory Care Program

The Bachelor of Science in Health Professions - Respiratory Care track offered at the University of Minnesota Rochester in educational collaboration with the Mayo School of Health Sciences at Mayo Clinic has extended their deadline to apply to the program through May 1. This undergraduate program currently admits students into the junior year. Lower division prerequisite courses must be completed prior to entering the program. UMR has extended the deadline for application to accommodate students who may have an interest in this field as an alternative to the BSN degree or other patient care professions.  Respiratory Therapists help assess cardiopulmonary systems to treat and monitor heart and lung problems. This is a “high-tech” and “high-touch” patient care career.

Program information, transfer guides, prerequisite requirements and videos about the profession can be found on the UMR website Respiratory Care. An information session will be held on the UMTC campus in the Health Careers Center on Monday, April 29 at 2:30pm. Online registration is requested Register for the Information Session.
