Freshwater Society lecture explores what we know about fracking

Robert Jackson, an environmental scientist at Stanford and Duke universities, will deliver a free public lecture January 30 in St. Paul on hydraulic fracturing – fracking – and water quality.

Dr. Jackson and Duke colleagues published the first peer-reviewed scientific papers on research examining drinking water wells near natural gas wells where fracking was employed.

The lecture is sponsored by the Freshwater Society and the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences.
