Nobel Peace Prize Forum returns March 8

This year's event offers CBS faculty, students the opportunity to hear from and interact with Nobel Laureates an others translating ideas into action. Free tickets are available to CBS undergraduates as well as a limited number of graduate students and post-docs (watch for the email announcement) to attend the Nobel Peace Prize Forum Science and Health Day March 8.

  • Dr. Deane Marchbein, president of the international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders, will give the opening keynote.
  • CBS alum Ahn Tran will share the story of how she launched the student group Biology Without Borders while still an undergraduate.
  • Dr. William Foege, who is credited with eradicating the smallpox virus in the late 1970s, will give the closing keynote.

In between sessions, participants will have the chance to talk with the speakers about the ways science and health contribute to human rights and global security. For more details about the lineup, visit the Nobel Peace Prize Forum website.
