Closes: 3/31/21

Job Code: 8352R1

Summary of Position: Dedicated, versatile scientist to join a large, dynamic, and diverse research lab conducting early phase drug discovery and translational research for heart disease and other muscle disorders. Design and create recombinant DNA constructs (biosensors) for expression in HEK cells. Grow and maintain mammalian cell lines expressing biosensors for drug-discovery assays. Carry out high-throughput assays for heart-failure drugs. Perform basic lab maintenance. Present research at lab meetings.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Open: 12/15/20

Closes: 3/31/21

Job Code:  9560

Summary of Position: Postdoctoral Fellow to join large and dynamic lab. Our goal is to understand the fundamental molecular motions and interactions that are responsible for cellular movement, to determine the molecular bases of muscle disorders, and to devise novel therapies based on these discoveries. We approach this multidisciplinary problem with a wide range of techniques -- physiology, enzyme kinetics, molecular genetics, peptide synthesis, computer simulation -- but our forte is site-directed spectroscopic probes.
