Linda McLoon

A professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neuroscience, Linda's research focuses on parmacologic treatments for strabismus and infantile nystagmust, thyroid eye disease, and extraocular muscles. She has welcomed HHMI postdoc Sadie Hebert into her lab, who has been researching muscle regeneration in extraocular muscles while hoping to learn why they are spared in muscle dystrophy.

Linda is the primary investigator in the HHMI research mentor program. In her lab, Sadie and undergraduate researchers Joe Navratil and Ryan Host have been studying the role of MyoD in extraocular muscle regeneration during the 2013 spring semester.
