Get Involved!

Are you interested in getting more involved within the CBS community? Do you want to expand your leadership skills? Do you enjoy planning and organizing events? If so, we highly recommend applying to be on the 2015-2016 College of Biological Sciences Student Board! We are consistently working to build community within CBS, bridge the gap between CBS students and faculty, support CBS student organizations, and ensure that the ideas and concerns of the entire student body are heard and addressed. The Board provides an excellent opportunity for you to become a leader within CBS and find new ways to fulfill the needs of the CBS community.

We will be accepting applications for the 2015-2016 CBS Student Board in late spring. Well qualified applicants will be interviewed before selections for the Board are made. If chosen, individuals are required to make the minimum 2-4 hour time commitment associated with the position and to attend mandatory weekly board meetings. The Board meeting times for next year will be set upon selection of the new members.

Application information and requirements will be outlined below in late Spring when the CBSSB application is made open.

Please also consider attending a CBS Student Board event (see here), attend a weekly Board meeting (Tuesday, 6:00p-7:30p in the Coffman Memorial Union Board Room), or check out another CBS student group related to CBS student interests (see here). Please contact Robyn Reese at  (link sends e-mail), or Ayo Gazal at  (link sends e-mail) if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you at a CBS Student Board meeting or event!
