Field Biology, May - June 2014
This year, 41 students were enrolled in our 4 Field Biology courses (Ecology, Animal Behavior, Mammalogy, and Ornithology). Over the course of the 5-week session, students got a hands-on experience both in the field and in the lab.
Feedback from a few 2014 Field Biology Students:
"Irreplaceable time spent here."
"Itasca was wonderful. It was an excellent opportunity to get to know other students in the biological community and develop connections with professors and students."
"This was an amazing experience!"
Nature of Life - July 2014
Students entering the College of Biological Sciences as freshmen have the opportunity to take their first college course at Itasca through the Nature of Life program (NOL). During NOL, the incoming freshmen spend three days exploring the world of biology in community with their fellow students and faculty here at Itasca. Thanks to the amazing peer mentors, staff, and faculty for making NOL at Itasca a success this year!
