Dinner with Four Networking Event

Connect and network with CBS alumni who are currently working industry (non-pre-health) professions at Dinner with Four Networking Event.  This program is limited to four alumni and 34 students to allow for meaningful conversations around a large dinner table. Applicants must be available to attend both the prep workshop on May 2, 4:30-5:30 p.m. as well as the dinner May 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Apply by April 25:  Students will be notified on April 27 of their acceptance. 

Do Something That Counts: Industry Experience Panel

Hear from current and previous students about the internships, jobs, research and involvement that prepared them for life after graduation. Learn about the strategies and approaches you can take to gain the experience you need for your next step! Presenters have experiences in wildlife rehabilitation, research, biotechnology, clinical settings and more!

MD/PhD Information Session

The University of Minnesota Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) is hosting an information session for CBS students. Dr. Yoji Shimizu, Director of the MD/PhD program, will share information about the MD/PhD career path and admissions requirements, and current MD/PhD students will be available to answer questions about the student experience. Prepare for the University of Minnesota Job and Internship Fair

Are you attending the University of Minnesota Job and Internship Fair on Friday, February 24th? Come to this workshop to discuss:

  • Building confidence by practicing your professional introduction and receive feedback
  • Learning how to maximize your experience through researching organizations
  • Understanding what to expect when you arrive at the Fair, expectations of employers and resources that can help
  • Gaining an awareness of the components of an effective follow-up email and other follow-up tactics

The Career Development Network (CDN) at the University of Minnesota recently awarded CBS career coach Rebecca Dordel with the Golden Gopher Merit Award for her work with students on campus.
