Boren Scholarships are for U.S. students who are interested in studying abroad in world regions considered "critical to U.S. interests", including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Boren Scholars are awarded up to $20,000 for an academic year. This scholarship is a fantastic funding opportunity for academically excellent students who are interested in studying in "critical" areas of the world.
To provide an opportunity for students to learn more about this substantial scholarship, a Boren representative from Washington DC will be hosting an info session on Monday, Nov 18th from 4-5 pm, in 214 Heller Hall. It's a great opportunity for you to learn more about the details of this generous study abroad scholarship.
Additional information on preferred geographic regions, languages, and fields of study, as well as application procedures can be found at www.borenawards.org. If you have any questions about the info session or are interested in applying for the Boren scholarship, please contact Amanda Fischer at firstname.lastname@example.org. Even if you can't make the info session, it's helpful to be in contact with the program well before the scholarship deadline on January 15th.
