Since 2007, the EPPA Medical Scribe Program has been hiring pre-health students and graduates to work as a medical scribe in hospitals and clinics located throughout the Twin Cities and St. Cloud, Minnesota. EPPA has specialties ranging from emergency medicine, primary care, oncology, dermatology, orthopedics, and more!
A Medical Scribe works 1:1 with a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner to complete the electronic health record in real-time, allowing the provider to focus on patient care. Scribes become familiar with the workflow of medicine, medical decision making process, and different provider styles to patient care.
The EPPA Medical Scribe Program is designed to be a stepping stone experience prior to professional school offering paid clinical work experience, paid training, flexible scheduling, professional development workshops (personal statement, CASPer, interview, MMI), paid clinical lectures, group volunteer opportunities and more.
