Each year the University of Minnesota is invited to put forward two students to compete for a $10,000 scholarship from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. These students must be sophomores or juniors who show outstanding promise for careers in research in the natural or applied sciences, engineering or mathematics. No special consideration is given to students in astronautical engineering. Applicants must be U.S. citizens with excellent academic records and research experience who have shown initiative, creativity, and excellence in their chosen field. Students intending to pursue a practice in professional medicine are not eligible for the scholarship. However, those intending to perform biomedical research are eligible.
The application deadline is Monday February 12, 2018. For questions and application, contact Timothy Jones: email@example.com.
