CBS Job Search Boot Camp

The purpose of this half-day program is to provide you with the basic skills and understanding of an entry level job search process. Each session will build upon information gained from the previous session, but if you can only make it to a portion of the day, we still encourage you to participate!

10:00-11:00 a.m.: Exploring Interests and Experiences
You may want to find a great job, but how can you find one without knowing what you want to do? Learn how to hone in on your experiences and interests to identify where you may want to start your search.

11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Connecting Interests to Industries
Learn how to streamline your job search and ensure you’re using the best keyword searches and online resources to search for the jobs you actually want to apply for!

12:15-1:00 p.m.: Lunch

1:00 -2:00 p.m.: Applying Essentials
You’ve identified your interests and have connected them to industries, companies, and even job titles. Now learn about what you need to successfully apply for these positions!

2:15-3:00 p.m.: 401Ks, Benefits, Negotiations: Adulting 101 for Your First Job Offer
