CBS Students Visit Bio-Techne

Members of the career team and 13 CBS students visited to Bio-Techne on September 30, learning about a variety of internships and entry-level positions in the areas of cell culture, antibody, and protein development in addition to departments in stem cells, and sales. All student in attendance agreed or strongly agreed with the statement, “This experience will help me start taking concrete steps toward my career." In addition to the visit, they are also hiring for the following position:

Research Associate 1 Large Scale Cell Culture & Support Services


The responsibilities of this position are to produce hybridoma and recombinant antibodies, make plasmid DNA for recombinant antibody expression, perform cell culture on multiple cell lines including NSO/CHO and insect cells as needed, and GMP production following GMP policies and guidelines as needed.


This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a biological science with a minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant laboratory experience. Previous lab and cell culture experience preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment with a sense of priority. Attention to detail and organizational skills are required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.  Computer entry and/or typing skills are desirable.  Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, multi task, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
