If you are a highly-motivated student and intend to participate in research, scholarship, or artistic activity under the guidance of a faculty mentor, you may wish to apply.
In order for your application to be considered, you must have:
*Students planning to graduate before spring 2017 should call to schedule an appointment with a program Associate Director to discuss whether or not graduation with Latin honors is a viable option. Please note: A minimum of 60 UMTC residency credits is required to graduate with Latin honors.
Please note that admission is highly competitive. The mean GPA for students admitted to the program is typically 3.85. Admitted students have also demonstrated a strong interest in research, scholarship, or artistic activity.
To be eligible to graduate with Latin honors, you must be admitted to the University Honors Program and complete the honors degree requirements. The minimum requirements include a GPA of at least 3.5 in your last 60 credits, course and non-course honors experiences, and the completion of a research-based or scholarly/creative endeavor over the period of no less than one academic year, the results of which are summarized in a written honors thesis.
