Pre-health students may be interested in the following Fall 2018 courses offered through the University's Department of Applied Human Sciences.

AHS 1102: Orientation to Health Careers (online)
Explore a variety of health careers, while learning about yourself through reflective assignments. AHS 1101 features over 20 guest speakers; AHS 1102 provides alternative opportunities for career exploration in an online format. 1 credit, 1101 meets Monday, 3:35 - 4:25 p.m.

AHS 1600: The Future Physician I - Medicine in the 21st Century
Dig into the hot topics in healthcare and medicine today. Physician guest speakers from the University and the Twin Cities community share what is affecting their patients and their practice. 1 credit, meets Wednesdays, 3:35 - 4:25 p.m.

AHS 2400: Writing a Personal Statement 
Designed for students within one year of applying to a health professional program, AHS 2400 helps students to peel back the layers of their personal story and journey to their chosen health career. AHS 2400 will keep students on track to write a compelling and unique personal statement. (1 cr, S/N), 3 sections offered. **Students must fill out online enrollment request form to be considered, which is linked on the PHSRC courses page.
