The first annual InSciEd Out Research Symposium is scheduled for Monday, April 16, from 10 to 11:40 a.m. in the Cherrywood Room at the St. Paul Student Center.
The Research Symposium is intended to give K-8 students the opportunity to see the University campus and present their own self-designed research projects.
Volunteer undergraduate students will also be presenting their own research projects conducted through the Foundations courses. The focus of many student-based projects is on food nutrition or human effects on the environment—topics which tie in with our goal of using science education as a tool to prevent disease behaviors and encourage a healthier community.
All are welcome to attend this great opportunity to interact with young scientists and see all the cool science that's happening in our local schools.
