On November 15th, from 6-8pm, CLARION will be hosting a FREE interprofessional seminar with dinner on the management of addiction. All students interested in learning about addiction and management of the disease are encouraged to attend.
Addiction is a dangerous illness that often remains clinically silent but drastically affects the lives of patients and families. A life-changing injury caused Steve Rummler to suffer from chronic pain that lead to his addiction to narcotic painkillers. Following his death, a note was found among his belongings that said: “at first it was a lifeline…now it is a noose around my neck.”
Steve’s fiancé “Lexi” Reed Holtum, Vice President and founding member of the Steve Rummler Hope Foundation, will be reviewing a short case study based on Steve’s story and discuss the consequences of addiction and its medical management.
Please join CLARION and “Lexi” Reed Holtum on Thursday, November 15 from 6-8pm for dinner and this wonderful seminar in Moos Towers 1-451! Dinner will be catered by Buca Di Beppo Italian Restaurant. Please RSVP (http://z.umn.edu/a9k
