Tom Lego has been the Manufacturing Head since August 2017. He joined Takeda in April 2016 as the Director of Biologics Program Management supporting the startup of the Brooklyn Park site. Prior to joining Takeda, Tom held various senior leadership roles in Operations and Manufacturing with CSL Behring, PDL BioPharma and SurModics. Tom holds a biological sciences degree from the Illinois State University.
Matt Kenning has been the Site Head since January 2019. He joined Takeda in June 2017 as part of the GMS Global Operational Excellence Team supporting the U.S. Region. Prior to joining Takeda, Matt held various international senior leadership roles in Operations, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Strategy with Genetech/Roche, Baxter and others. Matt holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern – Kellogg School of Management.
Dana Olson has been the Site Quality Head since 2016. Prior to joining Takeda, she held positions of increasing responsibility with Protein Design Labs, Genmab, Baxter and Baxalta. Dana holds a Biology degree from the College of Saint Benedict and a Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs from Northeastern University.
Located in Brooklyn Park, MN in the Northwest suburbs of Minneapolis, the Takeda Brooklyn Park facility is 36 acres with a 220,000 square foot commercial scale manufacturing facility that houses manufacturing, warehousing, laboratories, and offices. The total capacity of the bioreactors is 22,000 liters across two segregated manufacturing trains which can support the simultaneous manufacture of multiple antibody products. Takeda is Minnesota’s largest biotech manufacturing employer and manufactures two of Takeda’s leading products.
