Mark your calendars for Spring 2021 Field Guides seminars

Field Guides - seminars and mentorship for undergraduates interested in ecology and related fields

Field Guides is open to students in any college and any stage of their undergraduate career. If you are interested in any of the following, this program may be for you:

  • Exploring career paths in ecology, evolution, behavior or related fields
  • Getting involved in doing research at UMN
  • Meeting students with shared interests in ecological and evolutionary topics
  • Receiving advice about coursework from recent graduates
  • Navigating graduate school application processes

Get Involved

There are two ways you can get involved:

1. Attend our monthly seminars - view spring semester dates/topics. Fill out this short survey and we will add you to our mailing list. Newsletters will be sent monthly and contain zoom links to upcoming seminars/events and career opportunities.

2. Be paired with a CBS graduate student mentor (option at the end of this survey). We will pair you with a grad student mentor that shares your academic interests and/or has similar identities (ex. LGBTQ+, BIPOC, first-gen, international student, etc.)
