Minnesota Studies in International Development (MSID) programs are experiential, semester-long, development-focused study abroad programs in Ecuador, Kenya, Senegal and Thailand. Students spend half of the semester engaged in coursework related to development and the local context in either Quito, Nairobi, Dakar or Chiang Mai. During the second half of the semester, they put their knowledge into practice by completing a full-time internship or research project in collaboration with a local non-profit organization.
