National Scholarship Opportunities

  • Astronaut Scholarship: $10K for following undergraduate year; STEM Soph/Jrs planning research careers; research experience and 3.75+ (Campus deadline Feb 3, 2020)
  • Beinecke Scholarship: $34K for graduate study and application expenses; Jrs in Arts, Humanities and some Social Sciences; research experience, commitment to academic career or similar, 3.75+ (Campus deadline Jan 13, 2020)
  • Boren Scholarship: $8-20K; all classes and majors; commitment to language study, interest in working for the federal government, engagement with matters of national security, 3.5+ (Campus deadline Jan 6, 2020; national deadline Feb 5, 2020) 
  • Critical Language Scholarship: All expenses of 10-week foreign study of select languages; all classes including graduating seniors; commitment to language study, ability to thrive in an immersive, foreign educational environment, 3.3+ (National deadline Nov 19, 2019)
  • Gaither Junior Fellows: One year paid research internship at the Carnegie Foundation ($40K); Srs with interests in international affairs; well-developed research and writing skills, language skills and coursework appropriate to research area, strong communication skills, 3.75+ (Campus deadline Dec 7, 2019)
  • Goldwater Scholarship: $7500 for following undergraduate year; STEM Soph/Jrs planning research careers; research experience and 3.75+ (Campus deadline Nov 18, 2019)
  • Hollings Scholarship: $19K for two years + NOAA internship; Sophs studying Oceanic/Atmospheric or related sciences or education; record of research, community involvement, 3.5+ (National deadline Jan 31, 2
  • Udall Scholarship: $7000 for following undergraduate year; Soph/Jrs involved in environmental policy, research, activism or Native Americans involved in tribal health or policy; record of community engagement and action, leadership, 3.5+ (Campus deadline Jan 24, 2020)
