New Scholarship for Undergraduate Research: Milton and Danae Andrews Scholarship

Milton and Danae Andrews are committed to research at the University of Minnesota that will help to cure or alleviate symptoms of life-altering diseases. The Milton and Danae Andrews Scholarship for Undergraduate Research has been established to benefit undergraduate students who are contributing to significant research in the fields of human medicine and physiology.

Students are eligible for the award if they meet the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate student in the College of Biological Sciences
  • Completed at least one semester of research
  • Able to demonstrate their research project was a significant accomplishment in advancing research in the fields of human medicine or physiology.
  • Preference will be given to research aimed toward alleviating human suffering from disease.

Students must be nominated by a faculty mentor or PI for this award. Nominations can be submitted through the Google form below and must include a letter of recommendation.

  • Nominations are due Friday, December 7, 2018.
  • Award decisions will be made in time for scholarship funds to be disbursed for spring semester 2019.
  • The selected student will be awarded $2,500.
