If you are applying to graduate school this fall, consider also applying to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP).The NSF GRFP provides a three-year annual stipend of $34,000 along with a $12,000 cost of education allowance for tuition and fees (paid to the institution), opportunities for international research and professional development, and the freedom to conduct your own research at any accredited U.S. institution of graduate education.
Applications are due in early October, and include a two page research proposal, a three page personal statement, and three letters of recommendation. It’s essential you start on your application early! More information: https://www.nsfgrfp.org/general_resources/about
If there is interest, CBS Undergraduate Research Coordinator Dr. Jacob Moore will be holding an NSF GRFP information session, as well as hosting a summer writing group to help students prepare their applications. If you are interested in either of these events, please fill out this survey by Friday, May 4, or contact Dr. Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org.
