Our Voices: Indigenous Women and Women of Color is a new dialogue group centering women-identified indigenous students, students of color, and multiracial students at the U of M! This dialogue group aims to support and engage the intersection of identities, foster a safe space for identity development, self-expression, and self-reflection, and develop responsible leaders to advance the needs and enrich the experiences of indigenous women and women of color.
Our Voices will kick off with an info session on Monday, September 19, from 4:30-6 p.m. in 41 Appleby Hall - drop by anytime. Fall meeting dates will take place from 4:30-6 p.m. in 41 Appleby, on the following Mondays: September 26, October 10, October 24, November 7, November 21, and December 5.
Students are encouraged to register for the dialogue group by completing this form. Participants can begin attending the dialogue group at any point during the year.
Our Voices centers and prioritizes women-identified indigenous students, students of color, and multiracial students who are undergraduates at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. This group is jointly facilitated with Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence and the Women's Center in the Office for Equity and Diversity and Multicultural Student Engagement in the Office for Student Affairs, with co-sponsorship from TCF Bank.
