Paid Education Internship at the Milwaukee Zoo

Do you love science and working with kids? Have you ever considered becoming a Zoo educator? Internships in the education department at the Milwaukee County Zoo are available for summer 2017. Help educate children ages 4-14 about science, animals and conservation. Interns are directly mentored and extensively trained through a self-reflective, experiential training program.  Develop child management techniques and interactive teaching strategies; also have an opportunity to apply to team teach a class.

To apply, send a professional cover letter and resume emailed in the SAME attachment to Patty T. at by Feb. 7, 2017. Make the subject line for the email "2017 Summer Internship". If you quality for an interview, you must be available for a March interview date and bring 2 letters of recommendation to the interview. Exceptions for alternate interview month must be arranged through email.

After interviews, applicants will be notified about hiring decisions by mid-April. Applicants who receive a position will be required to fill out a Zoological Society application and pass a background check.
