The Pre-Health Opportunities Fair aims to connect students with organizations/employers that provide students with experiences that prepare them for competitive health programs. This includes volunteer opportunities, part-time jobs, study abroad programs, gap year programs, and research positions. See who's coming! (this list will update frequently). It's hosted by the College of Biological Sciences in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts and is open to ALL University of Minnesota pre-health students alumni (up to two years post-graduation).
So who’s a pre-health student? Pre-health is the larger umbrella that includes pre-med, pre-pharmacy, pre-dental, pre-nursing, pre-PA, pre-vet. Any student that’s interested in working in a clinical setting is a pre-health student.
This event will allow students to speak with organizations to learn more about their upcoming opportunities, as well as talk with career counselors to help gain tips on how to connect with the representatives.
Note: There will not be food offered to students. Please plan to do lunch on your own! If you are an organization/department interested in participating, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
