Preparing for Graduate School in the Biological Sciences Workshop

Start your preparation for graduate school in the biological sciences this fall! Learn about the qualities of a strong graduate school applicant and hear advice on how to strengthen your application materials. Any CBS student interested in a Master’s Degree or Ph.D in the life sciences is encouraged to attend!

During this workshop we will discuss:

Application Process Overview: 10 – 10:30 a.m.

An overview of the the application process and basics of pursuing a graduate degree in the biological sciences.

Think Like a Committee Member: 10:45 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Review candidate’s personal statements and choose which one you would want to interview. By putting yourself in the admission’s chair you’ll learn what to include in your own statement.

Lunch 12 p.m. -1 p.m.

Have lunch while connecting with other students pursuing graduate school as well as faculty who can provide insight into their decision to pursue graduate education.
