Share a bit about your organization
Our name is going to be changing to Verum Technical Staffing in early April.  This is to emphasize the fact that we only focus on placing people in technical scientific and engineering roles in the Twin Cities metro area. We help new grads connect with companies on a contract or contract to hire basis. We help with resume prep and interview prep for candidates that have interviews with our clients so they can present themselves to their best potential. The reason companies use us for those roles, is it gives them the opportunity to see if you would be a fit for their organization before they hire you on.  In addition, it gives you a chance to determine if you are interested in the position before accepting a full time role with them. You both have a chance to check each other out!

Can you explain what the process looks like from the candidates perspective, and why a CBS graduate may want to work with your organization to find their first job?
We begin by bringing you into our office so that we can meet you in person and understand exactly what opportunities you are looking for.  We will take a look at your resume and consult with you about how it could be improved or enhanced in order to look attractive to potential employers.  We will then keep in touch with you if a client has a job that you could be interested in.  When we find something, we go over the position and the pay and make sure the location will work with you.  We then will send your resume into our client company.  If they are interested, we will do an interview preparation session and then we will set up a time for you to meet with them in person.  If they decide to offer you the position, we will bring you into our office for paperwork, which usually includes a drug and background screen.  Once that is complete you will start at our client company!  You will be employed through us and complete timesheets through us until you get hired on with them directly, which is usually between six months and a year.

Can you give us some examples of positions that candidates may expect to find through your organization?
Positions you could potentially find would be Quality Assurance Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, Research Technicians.
