On September 22, 2018, the Leadership Minor, Minnesota Student Association, and Student Unions & Activities will be hosting a Leadership Summit in Coffman Memorial Union. As a part of this conference, we are planning a specialized pre-health leadership workshop for students interested in practicing ethical leadership, especially when working with vulnerable populations both in the U.S. and abroad. We invite your input on what this could and should look like.
Volunteering with vulnerable populations, both here and abroad, is surrounded by many ethical, complex issues. The students who participate in this planning meeting will design a special session that will follow the Leadership Summit on September 22. This session will allow students from the University of Minnesota to practice leadership for social change.
If you are interested in getting involved with this planning committee, we invite you to attend the meeting/focus group on Tuesday, February 27 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in 2-565 Moos, the Pre-Health Student Resource Center. Please RSVP by Thursday, February 22 to help us prepare for the event. Pizza will be provided!
