A microbial genomics lab is seeking a motivated sophomore or junior, majoring in Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering to work on a collaborative study of genetic mechanisms of bacterial adaptation. Following successful completion of a one month long probation period, the student will be supported by a research scholarship at $10/h for up to 10 hours per week. A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in carrying out molecular biological, microbiological and genomic experiments.
Requirements: scientific curiosity, interest in research, good hands, ability to work in a group.
