SMART is hiring tutors for Spring 2019!
In addition to seeking applicants for our historically high-demand courses (MATH, PHYS, CHEM, ECON, CSCI, STAT, ACCT, BIOL, Writing, and many more), we are also seeking tutors who can specialize in ESCI, PSY, ASL, PHSL, NSCI, and any other challenging courses for which students might seek support. Students with successful backgrounds in those subjects who also have backgrounds in other math or science classes would be particularly competitive applicants.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
be currently enrolled students at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (and maintain that enrollment status throughout their employment period, if offered the position)
maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA (3.5 or above is recommended)
have received “A” grade(s) in the course(s) in which they hope to tutor
Competency equivalents (AP Exam scores of 4 or higher, comparable CLEP Exam scores, transfer credit, etc.) are also accepted
“A-” grades may be considered, provided SMART receives a faculty endorsement letter on behalf of applicant for each "A-" course
The priority application deadline is Monday, November 12 at 8 a.m.
Application info and instructions can be found at z.umn.edu/smartjobs.
