Survey on Course-related Stress

April 15, 2019

Many instructors are concerned about the mental health of their students, but most say they are not aware of how their interactions with students may influence students' stress levels.  The Faculty & Instructors Committee of the Provost’s Council on Student Mental Health and the Provost's Advisory Committee on Teaching, Learning, and Technology (PACTLT) subcommittee on Serving Students with Mental Health Concerns want to address this topic.  We would like to know how UMN students experience course-related stress so we can help faculty and other instructors become aware of student perceptions and suggest ways to reduce this stress.  We also would like to know how students currently manage their stress levels so we can identify areas for student wellness training. We have developed a short survey that deals with both topics.  Please see this link for the survey: https://umn.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7OF8jqijicTT4Pz.
