The University of Minnesota Libraries' Think like a Researcher series is designed to help undergraduate students become comfortable with the research skills and tools needed to participate in a variety of exciting research and creative opportunities. It is designed to bring students, especially first year and second year students, from across the University and different colleges together to learn.
During this program, attendees will learn about the wide variety of ways to get started with research including volunteering, taking a course, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), the Undergraduate Research Scholarship (URS), the International Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, summer research opportunities and more. The workshop will cover topics such as the benefits and challenges of research, finding faculty mentors, examples of student projects and more. There will also be a panel of student researchers.
