Warfa research position

Biologists! Professor Abdi Warfa of the Department of Biology Teaching and Learning is looking for a motivated, reliable undergraduate research assistant (RA) to join his research group to conduct biology education research. The RA will be involved in mentored-research projects that focus on understanding the nature of student-instructor interactions in active learning environments and/or projects focusing on modeling and model-based reasoning in STEM courses. Results of these projects will contribute to publishable research in Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER). This could be done for either research credit or pay (~10 hours per week).

If interested, please contact Abdi (awarfa@umn.edu) and visit our group webpage to learn more about our current research projects. Write “Biology Education Research RA” in the subject line of your email and briefly describe your interest in the project and attach an unofficial transcript and the name of one professor or employer who can vouch for your reliability and professionalism.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
