The Bushley Lab is seeking an undergraduate work-study student to work on a project investigating soil fungi and bacteria associated with the Soybean Cyst Nematode in Minnesota. Work as part of a research team focused on identifying microorganisms that could serve as biocontrol organisms or produce bio-insecticides. Gain experience working with soil biology, microorganisms, DNA extractions, PCR, and nematode biology to solve a key agricultural problem in Minnesota.
Hours: This position requires 10-12 hours per week for spring semester with possibility for full-time work for summer of 2016.
