What do you do here in CBS?
I am a Technical Analyst in Research and Learning Technologies (CBS-RLT).
How long have you been at the U?
I started at the U of M in November 2012. I moved to CBS in January 2014.
What's something interesting or unusual about your work here?
I get some unique opportunities to work with different researchers and faculty on a variety of research projects. It's very high level but I learn something new about the research we are doing in CBS and sometimes get to assist in finding new technologies to help support that research.
Recently, we've been working with a lab in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior to develop micro-controllers to detect when a bird strikes a window, with the ultimate goal of finding a window coating that would deter birds from flying into windows.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I normally am running after my two boys. Both are under three! They keep me really busy. I also really enjoy working in my yard and doing small landscaping and home improvement projects.
