Madeline Schutte

Who are you?
Madeline Schutte; Biology major; senior (graduating in December)

Where is your hometown?
Maple Grove, MN.

What CBS Circle are you leading this year?
Pre-Physician Assistant Preparation

Why did you want to lead a group about that topic?
I wanted to facilitate a group on this topic because I am pursing a career as a physician assistant. In order to be a competitive applicant, there are many things you need to do as an undergraduate student. I thought that facilitating this Circle would be an awesome way to not only mentor pre-PA students but also learn from experiences that they have had and create a sense of community.

Why did you want to lead a CBS Circle?
I wanted to facilitate this Circle because I have had so much help and access to resources as an undergraduate as I pursue my future career as a physician assistant. I wanted to be able to help other students who are passionate about the field as well.

What’s been the most interesting aspect of leading a group?
The most interesting aspect of facilitating a group is how much I have learned from my group members. My CBS Circle has really run off a ton of collaboration and working together in order to make it successful. We definitely formed a sense of community.

What are your career aspirations? Why do you want to go into that field of work?
My career aspiration is to become a Physician Assistant. I really just have a passion for serving people and a love for medicine so that’s why I think this career path would be perfect for me!
