Clarence Lehman receives IonE grant to fund biomass group

Clarence Lehman (EEB) has received an Institute on the Environment Mini Grant for his Midwest Conservation Biomass Alliance (MCBA) proposal, focused on the discovery and promotion of ecologically sound commerce activities and land-use practices using prairie biomass to enhance and restore multiple benefits for people, land, water, and wildlife. The MCBA will convene a two-day working session of business leaders, researchers and non-governmental organization to prioritize projects and develop timelines at Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve. IonE Mini Grants are designed to encourage collaboration on environmental themes across disciplines, units and campuses at the University of Minnesota. Learn more about other funded projects
