Sterner named IonE fellow

Robert Sterner (Ecology, Evolution and Behavior) has been named a 2014 Institute on the Environment Resident Fellow. Sterner's fellowship will focus on developing the first community-level anaerobic digestion system in the country for use in converting organic solid waste to heat, electricity and compost in a St. Louis Park neighborhood.

Sterner is one of seven University faculty chosen pursue interdisciplinary projects that seek to understand and address environmental problems. For more on this year's fellows and their projects, visit the IonE website.
