Over 100 first and second grade students are coming to campus on December 12 for a morning of STEM activities. Take a break from working the lab or studying and volunteer to lead or assist a station!
Event Details:
North Star Ballroom, St. Paul Student Center
Thursday, December 12
Volunteers needed from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
All volunteers are invited to stay for lunch from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. & talk with the students in a more casual setting about life as a scientist.
Students will rotate through mini-lessons (15-minutes each) for about 1.5 hours. We are looking for volunteers (CBS undergrad students, graduate students, postdocs or faculty) to lead these mini-lessons! You can also volunteer to assist leads. Work with staff to develop your own hands-on lesson or use existing lesson materials. Some current topics include: Forensics, Animal Behavior, Invertebrates, Plant Biology, and more!
Interested? Please email at Regina Kurandina at kuran008@umn.edu by Friday, December 6.
