Life before CBS…
Before joining CBS I worked in the UMN-TC International Student and Scholar Services for almost 9 years. In that role I worked with both undergraduate and graduate international students helping them with visa issues, adjusting to life in the United States/UMN, and hosting cultural/social programming.
Adjusting to college life…
When I started college I met lifelong friends in my major classes as well as getting involved with campus leadership. I joined student government, worked as an assistant to the AD of housing, and eventually became an admissions ambassador. This allowed me to meet people with similar academic interests as well as make friends with students across the campus!
Favorite part of the job?
Getting to know students who are passionate about science and facilitating their journey! I love hearing from students what excites them about the classes they are taking and the awesome work they are doing outside of the classroom!
Current passions, hobbies, things that bring you joy?
Outside of work I like to strike a balance between active and sedentary hobbies! I am an avid rock climber and during the summer I love to longboard around Lake Como. I also am a huge geek and love table top gaming; I can sometimes be found at the gaming store pushing minis around a table and rolling some dice!
Be on the lookout for…
Exaggerated hand movements. I tend to talk with my hands a lot; especially when I am very excited!
