Life before CBS…
Before joining CBS, I was finishing my Master of Arts program, and before that I was working for the MN Department of Corrections leading extended wilderness trips for court-ordered young men, vacationing as much as I could in between trips.
Adjusting to college life…
During my undergrad experience, I built my sense of sense of community and connection through the UMD Outdoor Program. There I was able to connect with others who loved being outside and adventuring as much as I did and develop my own programs to lead and work on my own sense of self as well as have fun.
Favorite part of the job?
Interacting with students on a daily basis, as well as working in an office that cares about students as much as we do keeps me energized for this gig! Being with such creative and hardworking people, both students and staff alike, makes me incredibly happy.
Current passions, hobbies, things that give you joy?
I have life-long passions in running, biking, and camping. I make it to the Boundary Waters in one season or another every year, and participate in a few running and bike races each year as well. I recently found enjoyment in attempting to cook healthier meals for myself, and enjoy staying busy with physical projects like building new bikes.
Be on the lookout for...
the bike routes of Hennepin County map in my office, as well as a bowl of interesting odds and ends that I’ve found and liked enough to pick up and keep. I think my spirit animal may be a crow!
