Life before CBS…
After graduating from Iowa in the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic (May 2020), I entered directly into my graduate studies at Ohio State. Therefore, working for CBS is actually my first professional role! I am so excited to take the various experiences and skills I gained throughout my academic career and apply them here in CBS.

Adjusting to college life..
College life is intimidating! I grew up in a small and rural Iowa town, so transitioning to a university with approximately 32,000 students was a lot to navigate. Thankfully, I uncovered a lot of my passions and met some of my very best friends and boyfriend by getting involved in student organizations and student employment. College can be overwhelming, but finding resources that work for YOU is what will hopefully lead to success! 

Favorite part of the job?
Everyone’s enthusiastic dedication for student success. As the Operations + Planning Associate, I am not directly student facing, but I am inspired by the commitment of the entire Student Services team to ensure that every student in CBS is successful in multiple facets. I cannot wait to continue collaborating with these fabulous professionals to ensure all students are thriving!

Current passions, hobbies, things that give you joy?
Honestly, this question is tricky to answer at this moment in time! After being a student for so many years, my main hobby was just to focus on academics. However, I look forward to engaging with both the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis community to uncover some new hobbies and passions. (If you have any recommendations, let me know!). Otherwise, I find a lot of joy in spending time with my boyfriend and dog, taking classes at Orangetheory Fitness, and watching my favorite show - RuPaul’s Drag Race! 

Be on the lookout for
Coffee! I love black coffee and typically prefer it iced. With the Student Services office being so close to both Caribou and Starbucks, I will likely always have a coffee with me!
