I advise highly motivated students with interests in aquatic ecology, biogeochemisty, and global change. Students in my lab have worked on a diversity of topics in a wide variety of systems. Graduate students are encouraged to develop and pursue original research, often within the context of ongoing projects. I am a member of four UMN graduate programs: Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior, Conservation Biology, Natural Resources Science and Management, and Water Resources Science.
